Casting has always been the most tedious task in an indie film. The paucity of funds, which is always there, remains the main hindrance in making the indie film. There is always shortage of funds. The most essential part of the filmmaking process is casting. A film may meet a disastrous end if the casting is not up to the mark. Hence extreme caution has to be taken when deciding the cast.
An actor can expect a big break, even if selected for an audition in an indie film; this could be time when he can think of becoming a great actor.
