A bright kitchen can be a welcoming space to cook dinner and where the family can gather. This can be a color palette that works in almost any theme: even more subdued farmhouse kitchens or a breakfast nook. However, it does require a careful balance.
One thing that you may want to do is to carefully plan out your bright color palettes. You could pull these out from stained glass. If you aren’t lucky enough to have a vintage window in your room then bring it in as artwork. You could even do craft projects with paper or faux stained glass kits to create this look on clear glass cabinet doors; although if you make a mistake here it can be costly. The last way to bring this into your room is going to just be on your pendant lights. Traditionally this looks a little bit stuffy and outdated as well as predictable. However, on the smaller scale of a pendant light it still has a contemporary kind of look to it.
However, if stained glass isn’t your thing then take a more modern approach with it. Just assemble a lot of vases to display in hutches, on shelves, or in cabinets. The luminosity of the glass means that it can handle bright colors like cobalt blue or orange. Just make sure that you have some Murano style glass in there to tie all of the colors together.
Another area where you might not initially think of using a lot of color is just going to be on your backsplash. Right now mosaic glass backsplashes are very popular but you might be afraid of locking into one color palette. However, a lot of the metallic versions or mosaic varieties might have orange, green, and purple altogether. However, since they’re all in the same color family they really seem to match.
You’re also going to want to stay away from anything too modern or stark white in the room. Again if it’s in your budget then try upgrading to stainless steel appliances. This is really going to give you a very rich and dynamic kind of look.
