New York is one of the world’s megacities, a capital of finance, fashion and food, it is truly impossible to be bored in New York.
The city is incredibly diverse and a melting pot of cultures, being a multicultural city, you will never feel out of place in New York.
The various communities all live together in the Big Apple whilst maintaining a sense of their own heritage.
One of the things which hit me the most when I travelled there for my travel blog was the people.
New Yorkers have a certain way of doing life and it’s fascinating to watch, everything is quicker in the city, and it’s very clear to work out who lives there and who is just visiting.
This is definitely a place for people watching. New Yorkers know what they want and know how to get by in such a big city, but they are also kind and helpful.
The service in diners and restaurants is always really friendly which is refreshing.
There are more museums and galleries in New York then it is possible to visit in a year, this means that you will always have something to do, if museums are not your thing, then music and theatre is on offer.
If music is not your thing, there are some wonderful book shops, if you’re not into books, why not check out a movie at one of the many cinemas. Hate Hollywood? Don’t fear, there are even art house movie theatres for the hipsters out there.
You get the idea…there is something for every individual, no matter where your interests lie.
New York is truly a 24 hour city, if you find yourself craving more when the club closes, there will still be a whole host of bars open so you can keep going.
If you can’t sleep and have the munchies, there are loads of 24 hour take out places, many of which will even deliver 24 hour coffee shops even exist for those who just want to stay up late, reflect and post on their travel blogs.
